Tiger I is the first of a trilogy of paintings (see also Tiger II and Tiger III) which I ended up calling the tiger trilogy because of the stripes in the paintings. These are some of the earliest paintings I produced when I changed style from the Chimene series to formal abstract expressionism.

Please note this painting has some silver colour and so catches the light. The front photograph presents this more accurately.
