Struggle was the first painting I produced under the formal abstract expressionism banner. Its called struggle for obvious reasons really, I was looking for a new direction in this painting and it was quite a struggle to find it. This painting bears the scars as I painted and repainted it.

Please note this painting has a small amount of silver which catches the light, this effect can be seen on the photograph above.
