This was the first large scale formal abstract expressionist painting I produced. The painting is called striking because when I asked a friend what he thought of it he described it as striking and I felt this was the perfect diplomatic answer.

Please note this painting has some silver colour and so catches the light. The front photograph presents this more accurately.
