Ric's accidental painting - by Paul Godden

Signed, dated and titled on the back of the canvas.

While I was painting In memory of Polly I accidentally mixed the wrong colour red. Rather than waste the paint (starving artist and all that) I decided to just use it for the background of this painting. The painting then just took on a life of its own and was largely painted from old paint used in other paintings. While I was painting it I described its existence to my friend Ric you can see him here.

Please note this painting has some silver colour and so catches the light. Also this painting contains luminous colour (the red background) and this may appear pink on your monitor but it is in reality red.
