Redshift - by Paul Godden

Acrylic on canvas, 15cm x 15cm x 4cm.

Signed, dated and titled on the back of the canvas.

This is a small painting produced during a period when I worked with this colour scheme for approximately 1 year. This particular painting was produced as part of the language I was developing at the time. Redshift is a phenomenon in which the visible light from an object is shifted towards the red end of the spectrum. The title does not directly relate to the painting and in fact comes from Stephen Hawking's book A Brief History of Time: From the Big Bang to Black Holes

Please note this painting has some silver colour and so catches the light.

Price = £30 (frame not required)
