Occam's razor - by Paul Godden
Acrylic on canvas, 15cm x 15cm x 4cm.
Signed, dated and titled on the back of the canvas.
This painting was the first where I used splash painting as an integral part of the painting. I had used this technique before in Tiger II but this was accidental and was used to "solve a problem". Here the idea for using splash work was designed into the painting. Occam's razor is a principle attributed to William of Ockham. The title does not directly relate to the painting and in fact comes from Stephen Hawking's book A Brief History of Time: From the Big Bang to Black Holes
Please note this painting has some silver colour and so catches the light.
Price = £30 (frame not required)
