Luthien is part of the Chimene series. The title comes from The Lord of The Rings by JRR Tolkien. I always liked the combination of love and loss Tolkien brings about in her relationship with Beren. If you like Lord of The rings but have not read this tale I seriously recommend it, despite the fact that it is difficult reading.

Please note this painting has a small amount of silver which catches the light, this effect can be seen on the photograph above.
