Apart from the obvious crop circles reference this painting is an exploration of geometric ideas. Whilst thinking about this painting I saw a TV program about crop circles and there seemed to be a connection with what I was thinking. I followed up the TV program with a visit to Circlemakers and found more evidence. The result is a painting that still fits into my body of work but is somehow slightly aside from it. I now see this painting as an early glimpse of my more structured Formal abstract expressionism work. Do I believe aliens from outer space make them?
