Arwen is part of the Chimene series. The title comes from The Lord of The Rings by JRR Tolkien. I always liked the combination of love and loss Tolkien brings about in her relationship with Aragorn. It is actually a re-working of a far greater tale about Beren and Luthien.

Please note this painting has a small amount of silver which catches the light, this effect can be seen on the photograph above.
